为什么ArchLinux不鼓励将HARDWARECLOCK设置为localtime?

    # HARDWARECLOCK: set to "", "UTC" or "localtime", any other value will result
    # in the hardware clock being left untouched (useful for virtualization)
    # Note: Using "localtime" is discouraged, using "" makes hwclock fall back
    # to the value in /var/lib/hwclock/adjfile

    之前安装系统的时候,将HARDWARECLOCK设置成了UTC,但是双系统的时间一直没法统一;改为localtime就好了,可为什么注释说不鼓励呢?

    如果系统时钟是 UTC,移动到别的时区的时候,系统的时钟不需要修改,只需要修改时区。

    gentoo 中的建议是: 如果使用 win, 就把 hwclock 设置为 local.

    我用local,双系统就别想了。
    你有多少机会离开东八区,服务器倒可以考虑网络时间
