上覆压力（覆盖层压力）：在地质学、岩土工程与石油工程中，指某一点处由于其上方岩土/沉积物（“覆盖层”）的重量所产生的压力（常与“上覆应力”overburden stress 近义相关）。一般随埋深增加而增大。
