（有机化学）保护基：在合成过程中暂时“遮蔽”某个官能团、使其不参与不需要的反应的取代基；等关键步骤完成后再通过“脱保护”把原官能团恢复。常见于醇、胺、羧酸等官能团的选择性反应设计中。（也常写作 protecting group，不一定加连字符。）
