SA node 是 sinoatrial node 的缩写，中文常译为窦房结。它位于右心房，是心脏的天然起搏器，负责产生电信号并启动每一次心跳。（也常写作 SA node 或 S-A node。）

SA 来自 sinoatrial（“窦房的”）：sino- 指“静脉窦/窦”（与心房附近的结构相关），*-atrial* 指“心房的”。node 意为“结/节点”，在解剖学中常指一小团具有特定功能的组织。因此 SA node 字面意思就是“窦房部位的结状组织”，即产生心脏起搏信号的组织。
