Bootstrap Steps for Mac OS X developers?

I haven't set up any IME yet, so here's English.

When you get a new Mac, what steps are needed (and recommended) to make it suitable for development (Rails web development, in particular)? It feels so different compared to Linux, and I want to learn the best practices.

(Guess I need to set up GCC and Homebrew first?)

gentoo是不是伤了你的心？
xcode和homebrew都要装吧。。装好之后感觉和linux差不多。。

@27493586 没啊，我还打算在Mac里弄个gentoo-prefix呢……

@27493586 Xcode 不是必需的，有 Command Line Tools for Xcode 就可以装 Homebrew 了。

@iwinux Command Line Tools for Xcode也不是必须了。https://github.com/kennethreitz/osx-gcc-installer/ 就可以解决了。山猫上就是这样搞定的。
