中文词典让人郁闷之处

比如我查 iterate 一词。

大部分的网络词典给出的解释就是两个字：

迭代

但是我查 New Oxford American English Dictionary：

make repeated use of a mathematical or computational procedure, applying it each time to the result of the previous application; perform iteration.

实在是高下立判。

但从「迭代」这个解释我们可以另外搜寻更详细的解释。

精读的时候英英，泛读的时候英中就好。

比如Bramble，Oxford Dict里面解释是：
a prickly scrambling shrub of the rose family, especially a blackberry
中文：
荆棘

这实在不是高下的问题，同种语言解词的时候不得不用简明的词语阐述意义。
一个外国人查现代汉语词典也能查出“迭代”的详细解释，但是他要是查汉英字典就会查出“iterate”……
所以还是双解好啊，Wiktionary 也很有前途。

我觉得语言这东西有时是不能翻译的，只能在某种特定语言表达出来才能言尽其意。
